All students are part of our Futures Programme, designed to ensure they are given opportunities to develop their social skills and cultural knowledge.
Learners explore a range of activities to enhance their academic learning, as well as their understanding of the world around them, helping them develop into well-rounded individuals.
Over the last two terms, students have had the chance to take part in a variety of different opportunities alongside studying their A Level courses.
A group of Sixth Form students visited the University of Kent, meeting current undergraduate students and gaining insight into life at university and career progression after studying at degree level.
Art (Fine Art) students visited the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery in Margate, exploring new exhibitions and gaining inspiration for their own work.
Last term, students attended the CATS Canterbury University Fayre at Kent Cricket Ground, speaking to admissions tutors from over 60 universities from the UK, Europe and beyond.
A Level Biology students had the opportunity to visit Kent and Medway Medical School to explore a career in the medical and healthcare industry. They attended interactive presentations as well as a tour of the facilities and campus at University of Kent.
Other interactive activities last term included an introduction to debating session led by the University of Kent, lessons from the Auschwitz Project, a law workshop led by the Association of Lawyers and chess club through our Electives programme.
Students explored their creative side, in a series of weaving and clay making workshops delivered by University for the Creative Arts. They had a great time taking a well-deserved break from studying to make their own creations with friends.
Over the next few terms, Sixth Form students will take part in more enriching activities including the Social Science Partnership with the University of Kent, Criminology students will explore different career options within the Criminal Justice System at Elmley Prison and Politics and Law groups are planning to visit Parliament to explore options after A Levels.
