EKC Group Achieves Cyber Essentials Certification

EKC Group has been awarded Cyber Essential Certification by QG Management Standards following a recent assessment of the Group’s ICT defences.

The Award – which is the gold standard in cybersecurity – demonstrates the Group’s digital defences have met the requirements of Indelible Data’s Cyber Essentials Standard. In addition to receiving certification, EKC Group will be added to the QG Cyber Essential Register and the National Register of Cyber Essentials Certified Companies.

Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme that helps organisations protect their data from a range of the most common cyber-attacks by auditing the safety measures they have implemented. Achieving Cyber Essentials status illustrates that EKC Group is actively working to secure its IT against any cyber threats.

The Group’s Director of Technology, Barry Boden, was delighted with the outcome commenting: “Being awarded the Certification is a fantastic achievement for my team and I. We’ve worked really hard to put in place a wide range of measures to combat cyber attacks across the Group, and I’m proud of our system’s resilience as a consequence of this work.”

Barry added: “We are now looking to the future, with our organisational aim to take the next step and achieve the Cyber Essentials PLUS Certification.”
