Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

Are you enhtusistic about sport and aspire to have a future career in sports coaching, development or teaching?

The sport pathway provides students with a broad understanding of key areas in the sports sector which can be further developed by progressing onto higher education, apprenticeships or employment in the future. Hands-on practical learning is combined with academic based learning and will give you valuable experience across the industry. The sport pathway will also help you develop confidence, teamworking skills and professional standards that are required when working within the Sport and leisure sector.

Students will have have access to a variety of practical sport and fitness environments including the on-site fitness testing studio, artificial sports pitch, outdoor fitness equipment and hall, as well as use of local sports and fitness facilities.

Role description

Sports and leisure assistants, provide and maintain facilities for sporting and recreational activities and supervise their use, maintain the continuity of entertainment and social events, offer odds and accept bets on the result of sporting and other events and control gambling activities.
