Develop the skills and knowledge employers are looking for with our hospitality course. Our course will prepare you for a range of roles in the hospitality sector.

What will I learn?

During the course you will:

Learn about different aspects of the hospitality industry
Gain an understanding of career paths and jobs available in the industry such as bar and waiting staff roles and customer service and kitchen staff roles
Develop employability skills including teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
Attend workshops to help you create a CV, write cover letters, apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews
Gain access to local employers at a hospitality job fair at The Yarrow Hotel
Develop knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety
Gain First Aid Skills

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of the course, you will gain an accredited City & Guilds Extended Certificate in Employability Entry Level 3, Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 Award and Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate.

What may the course lead to?

Dependent upon skills and experience, this course could lead to employment in hospitality in roles including:

Front of House roles
Cleaning and Housekeeping roles
Kitchen Assistant
Kitchen Porter

How will I learn and be assessed?

Learning will be classroom based with an allocated tutor. This qualification is workbook and portfolio assessed. You will be required to complete some independent study and assignments.

Entry Requirements

You must be aged 19 or above, be in receipt of benefits or Universal Credit, or have an annual income below £18,525.

Please provide proof of ID (Bank card, Photo ID, Birth Certificate), proof of annual income being below £18,525 and proof of receipt of Universal Credit/benefit payments.
