Land-based, Environmental and Animal Care courses
Do you want to start a career in animal management or the land-based sector? We have courses available for school leavers, Years 10 and 11 and those aged 19+.
Our courses will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills to support your journey to employment in the sector.
Developing Green Skills
To help meet the emerging demand for specialist green skills, we have invested in upgrading Spring Lane to offer cutting-edge education and training in animal conservation, horticulture and land-based subjects.
Pre-16 Junior College
Spring Lane is home to EKC Canterbury Junior College, a learning opportunity for learners in Years 10 and 11 who have dedicated ambitions to entering the landbased industry.
Short and Part Time Courses
We offer a range of professional horticulture short and part time courses for learners aged 19+.

Meet the Animals
Our Spring Lane Campus is home to over 200 species of animals including:
- Wallabies
- Birds such as chicken, geese, ducks and cockatiels
- Small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets
- Goats and sheep
- Reptiles including snakes and bearded dragons.
