All of our courses are accredited by the University of Arts, London and will enable you to either progress straight into a career in the media industry, or go on to further study. The skills you develop on our courses including Film and TV set-up, video production, creative growth and presentational skills will help you gain the career you want, no matter what path you go down.

A new Film and TV Studio is being built in Ashford, just down the road from college (by the Outlet). As this opens, there will be great chances to get your foot in the industry or progress in your future career.
Located on the site of Ashford’s former Victorian railway works, the project (Newtown Works) is a £250m mixed-use regeneration project. Centred around state-of-the-art TV and film production space, the development is set to support 2,000 new jobs and create a new hub for the creative industries, which will benefit from Ashford’s connectivity to London and Europe.

Across the UK the workforce is projected to expand by 24% over the period to 2027, adding 19,814 jobs. In the same period, 71% of the workforce is projected to retire, creating 59,082 job openings.
Graphic designers use illustrative, sound, visual and multimedia techniques to convey a message for information, entertainment, advertising, promotion or publicity purposes, and create special visual effects and animations for computer games, film, interactive and other media.

Once you have your GCSEs we can ensure you are enrolled on the best level for you to progress and succeed at College.

Relevant to all areas!
On our Media pathway you will learn skills and practices that could take you anywhere after college, from employment to higher education. After college, our courses can take you into fields such as media creation, business, art, design, and many more! The possibilities with Media are endless.
Enrichment alongside studies
Ashford College's Enrichment program allows you to learn significant skills and have fun outside of your lessons. Music students currently use our Karaoke sessions to help gain even more industry experience, and Media could start their own enrichment from September.
Head of Creative - Richard Eno
Richard Eno, our brand new head of Creative, Digital and Innovation, has a huge amount of experience in creative media education. He is proud to be leading Media at Ashford and also studied film producing under Dov Simens, the same man who taught many others currently in Hollywood.
