One of the fastest growing industries, engineers shape the world; from developing new mobile phone technology, to designing buildings and making components for aircraft - the career opportunities are endless. 

As a student on our Mechanical, Electronic or Marine Engineering courses you will be using the latest resources, with classes delivered by industry specialists. In additon you will have the opportunity to cover CAD, design, robotics, quality control, tool making, engine room manufacturing and sea survival. 

We work in partnership with local and national engineering companies, which can lead to great work experience and apprenticeship opportunities. 

Whichever route you chose to pursue, from programming industrial robotics to machining accurate components, you leave prepared for your next steps, be it employment in engineering, an apprenticeship or further study at university.

Role description

Mechanical engineers undertake research and design, direct the manufacture and manage the operation and maintenance of engines, machines, aircraft, vehicle and ships’ structures, building services and other mechanical items.
